Black powder?????
I have a 4 dram by volume measurer for black powder. How much would that be in grains by volume? Thanks in advance.
1 dram = 27.34 grains.
4 dram = 109.36 grains
Just curious, is a dram vs a grain a conversion like standard to metric, or what exactly was a dram used for. I have heard dram used, just never knew why.....
A dram is 1/16 of an ounce.
And there are 7000 grains in a pound.
Which is where the conversion comes in and you wind up at about 27.34 grains per dram.
