Extremely inaccurate from the calculations I ran.

There's no accounting for it, though.

4 months is long?? I've been seeing lots of threads saying it's 5 1/2 to 6 months right now.

Average time seems to be around 130 days after pending.

In today's NFA market that's average.

Below average, actually.

Pending 10/4 on an SDN6 here, 11/9 on an F1 SBR.

Current wait time is 5-6 months from pending.

I'm pending from Sept 14th with Bowers. Everything I hear says the examiners are finishing the forms from August and have started on the September forms.

I expect to get my Form 4 back some time in March.

I just mailed in another Form 4 last week and will be sending out a Form 1 this week. I don't expect to see either before next fall.

I just called and they told me I went pending on 20 DEC 11. She told me April or May I should be getting my stamp back.

I tried that out a while back.

Just a guess, but it seems to be using complete historical data instead of just recent data? If it were only using six months of data, it would be a lot more accurate.

You might get lucky and get it sometime in early December!

that calc cant be accurate

Here are my pending dates

9/27/11 for an Osprey45 Form4
10/28/11 for Draco SBR Form1
12/7/11 for 762SDN-6 Form 4
1/4/12 for SS Sparrow Form 4

site says I should have the Osprey now....hoping to see early to mid April
site says 97% of people have by now and 72% chance for March on SBR Form1.......hoping for mid-late May
site says 93% should have by end of april for 762SDN-6........I'd be happy with mid JUNE
site says 98% by end of June on Sparrow......no chance, I would be happy with mid-late JULY, but expect August or September.

That site says 51% of people would have their January pending forms back in March......something on that calculator needs some MAJOR changing, or get the blonde chick away from the buttons when doing the figuring!!

I have no way of knowing this for sure, but I suspect the reason why the calculator is so out of whack is that it's probably including ALL the NFAtracker data...including the stuff that's pre-July '11 when things really started to slow down.

That line in the sand (7/11) is why the guy who created NFAtracker started offering separate compiled reports that only include the most-recent 6 months. There are likely many more entries in NFAtracker with the old 3-4 month pending>approved than more recent ones, which would pull the overall average lower than current reality, in that calculator's estimates.

Cool. It seems like it's fairly accurate now, based on more current data.

Snook approved a few cans in the past few ds that went pending in late September. I went pending in October, so I "should" get mine next month.

Geez I hope that website is wrong! I put in the info for my two transfers and it shows them out to September! That will be nine months in pending.

It is what it is. Who knows how many folks in WA, OR, and ID don't post up on NFA tracker.

My son asks me every day, "Has the stamp arrived?"

We'll have a nice spring break and hopefully our shooting will be quieter upon our return. ;)

Imagine if you had a whole website set up of strangers obsessing over how fast you were doing your job.

It's kind of funny.

I just called to check a Form 1 and the lady I spoke with said they are running " A full 6 months/180 days" from pending.

Enter your "Pending Date" in the form linked below to calculate your estimated approval date.
