Want to bring SBRs to other states. What the hell?????
I'm looking at this
http://www.atf.gov/forms/download/atf-f-5320-20.pdf
I live in VA. I want to bring my SBRs to a range in WV and to another in MD.
I don't know addresses. Nor do I know specific dates. I want to be able to go to a range or several in the next year or forever in WV or MD.
Do I just put down any address? A buddy in WV's, and a separate form for a buddy in MD?
Can I put dates from now until the year 2047?

They want specifics, for approval usually. But I've heard a date-range is fine. Call NFA branch and ask em.
Does MD allow SBRs? You can put the address of the range, a buddy you'll be visiting, etc. For dates you can request up to a year.

Yes they do.
I thought I remembered something about a year limit. So I guess I have to submit these every year. Are they approved faster than a form 1 I hope? Id like to go shoot in WV this summer.
I've done plenty of the .20's
1 - Max 1 year in length, so might as well make it that long
2 - For the address, I've done many different things and all were approved
option a - actual physical address
option b - for multi shoot events "In and around the local area of RANDOMTOWN, TX & ANOTHERPLACE, TX"
option c - for the larue shoot I used the Lat/Long coordinates of the range ..haha "N 31 14.532 W 101 53.141"
So really not that big of a deal - i do like 20 of the forms on the 1st and have a year of traveling authorized.
Address could be a gas station near the range or a friend's house - doesn't matter.
As others have covered, it's a date range of a year or less.
.20s are quickly approved, not at all like a F1 or F4.
What is "serviceable"
I hope the answer is yes, because that is what I checked.

As far as time ... you can list up to 364 days (fer instance, May 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013) and it will get approved; but you cannot do longer than a year on each 5320.20.
However, you also can apply in advance –– I've seen 'em approved up to a year before the "start" date. So get one approved for the next 264 days, then next month submit one for the following 364 days.
I know some folks who send 'em in each April for the following Jan-through-Dec year. They do it when they do their taxes, so they don't forget.
As far as addresses ... you can use the address of a range; the address of a place you'll be staying (friend or relative, hotel/motel, etc.). ATF doesn't require more than that, but they do have to have at least one address.
And yes, it's serviceable.
Thanks for all the help gents.
I'll get these in the mail Monday.

Just fax them. You'll usually get them back faster and can save yourself the cost of a stamp....304 616-4501
Usual turn around time is 1-2 weeks.

I honestly have one approved with just Latitude/Longitude coordinates...nothing more :)
Latitude/longitude is a location. That's enough. Just don't leave that section blank.
