anybody ever painted this

GunKote is tough as nails, you might try that instead of paint.

i painted mine sun yellow to match my eotech sticker, first i tapped everything off but the square, then i used a truck bed liner so it was like sand paper, then painted 3 coats of sun yellow, its held up so far, about 100 charges and a cleaning, and im guessing/ hoping that once it does start to fade, if it fades, the sandy grain of the bed liner paint wear threw first leaving a nice yellow black camo look...

I have coated a lot of them, normally take it apart to coat them. Holds up good.

like i said, iv only had about 100 charges with it, and its gtg, a little black peeking threw in the lower corner, but i dont care, lol i like the worn out look, or if i need to touch it up down the road, it will give me something to do.

iv only ever painted that one, so i dont know how another one would hold up. i almost went a darker yellow, but that yellow matched the sticker on the 552 eotech, so the over all look is nice and clean looking. it looks a little lighter yellow in the pic, due to a cell phone flash.

yeah the flash did make it look more of a pastel.
