Ordered an Accuracy International AE .308 folder, green today
Man I am psyched! Picking it up on February 10th from Euro Optics...making the 3-1/2 hour car ride. Can't wait! Anybody own one of these and care to share their stories with it thus far? Thanks.
Congrats! They make a very nice rifle. Where is Euro Optics?
Montoursville, PA
I have one of their stocks and have tried quite a few of their products. The folders are a really neat design, gotta sell my fixed MKI to fund one at some point. Of course the rifles are some of the best in their class that money can buy. AI's bipods are another really good addition to the rifles.
Of course, we expect a range report/write-up, with plenty of pics.......
.......when you get it home.

Congrats, by the way.

Oh, believe me there will be pics and reports!
great rifle have fun
Congrats!!! They are sweet rigs. Only reason I sold mine was cause I finally found a AIAW in .338 that fit my budget.

How's the kick on that .338?
that sucks. Sorry for your terrible misfortune. It might shoot okay, if you're lucky and you just happen to get a good one.

If I may ask, how much $ OP?
I got one of the AW .308 packages Euro-optics was selling a little while ago. Solid as hell.
All of my precision rigs shoot really well but tend to prefer a particular load. So far with this one I've ran Black Hills 168, 175, and 180 match and the 168 Hornady TAP, and gotten 1/2 MOA on all of them. Seriously, it doesn't seem to matter what load, the groups all look the same.
The only possible downside to the AE that I've heard is a few reports of cold bore shots being slightly off, but even those were consistent in their deviation, and if I remember correctly there may have been a fix.
I'm sure you'll love that rifle, congrats. What kind of glass are you going to put on it?
Thanks again for the replies. I took delivery of the rifle on Friday. Two words: AWE and SOME. Period. I mean wow.

Coming soon!
I had a black AI 308 for a while. It was awesome and the first rifle that I really used for long range shooting. It was silly accurate. It wore a Nightforce 3.5-15 and I could, with little practice, shoot 6 inch groups at 500 yards all day long. At 100 yards, with any ammo I tried, you'd have one ragged hole. Only reason I sold it was I like big game hunting and switched to a 300 win. I remember the action on that gun felt like it was on roller bearings. Enjoy your new piece!

Nice. Pics?
Also, you do have S&B glass for it, right?

Nightforce for now.
Alex at EuroOptics is awesome. His prices are pretty hard to beat and he always has a good amount of high end rifles/optics. I wish he would open a retail store but I guess that means more overhead...
