95 days. Thats about a month less than my last form from earlier last year with the same examiner. Maybe they have picked up the pace a little. Just thought some would like to know.

I just got off the phone with Linda at the NFA branch.

My Form 4 went pending on 11/23, the examiner is also Lamberger. I was told the timeline is looking like 6 months from pending date right now. It's for a Sparrow SS suppressor on a trust.

I'll say- I've got 2 (1 form 1, 1 form 4) pending since August!

Lucky Dog! I went pending Aug 22 and as of today I'm still pending. Christina Farris is the examiner. Anyone know any thing about her time frames?

She has a reputation for being the slowest of the slow, but right now everyone seems to have slowed down, so who can tell?

I personally spoke to lamberger on 1/4 and he said novembers batch would be started on march 1

I've had pretty good luck with Lamberger. He's generally pretty quick. To the poster above everytime I have ever called BATF they have told me 5-6 months. They really do need to hire more examiners.

I got excited there for a moment, (pending Oct 28) then realized I had a different examiner.

I am also a mid September kind of guy. I'm in Florida, so I assume Lamberger is my guy, according to those state lists. I've never actually called them, though.

Wtf...im another FL guy with Lamberger that went pending 14 sept...I don't know whether to be excited or not...but I am jealous.

You and I are pending one day apart. Mine is 10/3 for my SBR...10/21 for my suppressor.

The longest transfer I have ever had was with Snook. I feel your pain on that one.

She signed the Form 3 that arrived at my dealer with my suppressor earlier in the month. It was also fast, the form 3 was submitted Dec. 16th, 2011 and approved Dec. 22, 2011. If only the form 4 was that fast.

I have two form 1s that went pending with Pickles this month, and another form 4 that arrived on Sept. 6th, and hopefully went pending soon after, I haven't checked on it. It is at 140 days since it arrived, probably 120 or so pending.

My dealer said she has been terribly slow for all his customers.

Vik, i don't see the feds hiring more expediters for toys for us when the SS office is so short-staffed(budget cuts)that they don't respond to emails or voicemails, per a woman i spoke w/yesterday, dealing w/death of my dad.

I didn't think they were hiring anymore either but I had/have never heard of that woman's name until I saw it on the form.

They've been borrowing manpower from other sections.

She approved mine as well.

I just got a form 1 back from Siviero (Swiero...whatever) that was pending on August 10...164 days pending. I have another form 1 out that went pending September 10 and then a AAC Element that's been pending since September 14. Come on!

I just mailed my first form 4 out six hours ago. Do you think it's pending yet?

pending since Sept. 6th, longest one so far, normally 60 days +/-. Waiting on a SDN6.

My last form 4 was approved by Ted Clutter himself (head of the NFA branch). My examiner was Jason Frushour though. It was approved 5 months and a day since it went pending.

Why? What is the .gov motivation to hire more examiners?

They really don't care how frustrated we are. I mean what would the BATFE argument be to hire more examiners "Yeah we really need to get as many CL III items into civilians hand as possible as fast as possible" In the current political climate probably not a big selling point.

Also the .gov is not really customer service oriented they have a monopoly on these approvals and they are not paid per approved form.

At my job when things are broken or moving slowly you can often hear the production workers saying "meh, pays the same" Short sighted and stupid as we do receive profit sharing bonuses.

The ATF examiners I'm sure get no bonus for # of forms approved.

Just saying

I think we should be able to approve each other's forms.

That should speed things up.

Good luck with that...I'd expect less before more with this administration. They'll move the examiners over to the IRS to do more audits.
