They are not user serviceable. Most centerfire cans are not.

There's plenty of shooters out there with YHM cans. I've run my friend's 762 SS on my 10.5" 762x39, 12" 6.8, 16" 6.5 Grendel, and heard it on his Savage 308. Each time I was very impressed.

So much I bought the 762 Titanium over Thanksgiving weekend last year. 3 months down in Pending Status

The mounts aren't the most beautiful looking, but the only time you'll see an exposed mount on any of my uppers or guns is when they're not being shot.

The only downside I see right now is the new 762 Brake only being available in 5/8-24. Perhaps that changes in due time for the 9/16-24 Grendel shooters, and maybe even 3/4-24 for the KAC guys. You can put the 30cal suppressor onto a 5.56 mount, either flash hider or 5.56 Brake. I'm not entirely sure that YHM would want to put a 3/4-24 thread on the 762 Brake since it could appear to be the 338 Brake and that would have obvious consequences of stuffing a 338 through a 30 suppressor.....

I have the Stainless Phantom .223 thread mount and am happy with it. The general concensus seems to be that they are OK cans but heavy, built like tanks with good customer service if you need it. I got mine because I got a deal on it but I have not been unhappy with it. In .22 I would look elsewhere but the .223 and .308s seem to be a pretty good value.

Do their warranties transfer to a new owner? I am buying one for 250 + tax and can't pass up the price.

If you can wait just a little bit longer, Id hold off for one of these. Its fully user servicable which means you can use it for .22 as well and clean out all the gunk. I have one preordered. There currently being From 3'd to dealers now. So the wait shouldnt be long. I dont know if you have a Huntertown dealer around you. But its definitley gonna be a can worth looking at. I cant wait for mine. Oh, and the best part, they MSRP for $499. They have a 556 and 762 version designed for the AK and 762x39. There is 308 version on its way soon that is soon to go into production.

Edit: looks like they have 7 dealers in Texas.

I've heard about those. Personally, I'd still go YHM because they are a known quantity. That said, should they hold up well, I could be convinced to change my mind.

Thanks! The problem is I would still need to buy 2- 1-.223/1-7.62x39, plus two stamps. With the YHM I get 2 in 1 with less hassle & cost. Plus, they have a good rep from the other post!

Have some thinking to do....may just try & build one

FWIW, you can "dip" both the stainless and titanium cans

I got 3 YHM cans, .22/7.62/9mm and I love all of them. Best bang for the buck with great warranty and sound reduction.

I love mine... I paid $450 for it and have put about 100 - 200 rounds a week through it since I got my stamp back in October 2011.

If I could do it over again I think I would get the 7.62 Ti QD can instead of the .223 QD because it would give me more options.

I don't have any experiences with other suppressors, but I love my 7.62 SS QD. I came up with a subsonic load for my .300 Savage, and when you shoot it it's barely louder than a pellet gun.

I just wish YHM would make a 5.56mm break mount that looks like their 7.62 break mount

They're not the most effective or lightest cans on the market, but they are a great deal for the price. I own four (Mite .22, Cobra 9, Phantom 5.56 QD and Phantom 7.62 QD). I've never had an issue with mine. The FFL where I used to work sold YHM cans, as well as other brands. The YHM were the most popular because of the fact that they are such a good value for the average consumer. Were I going back to Afghanistan, I'd definitely pick something else, like a Surefire. But, for the guy who's looking to lower the noise when he's in the backyard or going hunting, it works fine.

I just picked up my YHM SS QD 5.56 can and I am very happy with it. After installing it on my 11.5" SBR my dealer fired off a few rounds inside the garage while I stood about 20' behind him. I have no idea how loud it would be unsuppressed but I don't care to find out.

If I get another 5.56 can it will be the same thing. I don't see a reason to spend a lot more on something that may perform slightly better. It's never going to be quiet.

Shot my Phantom today on a new 7.5" 300BLK upper. FRP is pretty loud but after that its silly quiet.

Where did you procure a 7.5" 300BLK barrel? Was it purchased long and threaded or 7.5" from a barrel maker?

Built like a tank and can take a beating.

Right now best deal is the YHM titanium .308 if you don't need full auto sustained.

This is completely relevant to my interests. Guess I need to get a stripped upper to build off of again.

They also said they'll be making end caps to fit other popular QD mounts. This looks like a contender for my 7.62 can.

You'll have to accept my apologies when I say I don't trust them.

I don't trust any suppressor company enough to pop down the money, the $200 tax stamp, and the 6 month wait for something that is "supposedly" coming.

If it was out now, sure, different story.

I have the SS 7.62 can, and I love it. I use it on 7.62x39, 5.56, and 6.5 Grendel. The Grendel is super quiet, and now I only use the Grendel suppressed. The downside is that it is super heavy, and my POI changes quite a lot depending if it is on or off. I am not sure if the POI shift is due to me compensating my position due to the excess weight, or if the suppressor itself does this. Very consistent, though. Up and to the left when I take the suppressor off.

In the manual they give directions how to wash it out.

The mount is homely, it snags on brush, etc., and it itself is quite heavy.

If I had to due it again I'd still do YHM, but get the titanium can.
