Im in the market for a take apart .22 suppressor so I can stop using my sealed 5.56mm can on .22s

I KIND OF have access to a local gun shop's lathe/mill. Im not sure if it would cost me anything if at all to use be able to use their tools. And Ive never really done anything on a lathe before.
Plus the fact that I dont have very much extra time on my hands since I have a 1 year old daughter.. well she would be almost 2 by the time I get the stamp
I can come up with $250-$300 + stamp for a decent .22 can but Idk if I should just save my hard earned money & build my own for less than $50 + stamp

What ye say?

Im building one now. I got free material and already have a lathe and would buy one. For the time and effort put into it, just buy one.

Because it wont be as cheap as you think it will and most likely you will be very dissapointed in it the first time you hear it next to a production can.

Who really can compare to the experience, R&D, trial errors, and mass production savings of a reputable manufacurer? As stated earlier, you spend more time and $ then you think. Some people like the project aspect or have special uncommon feature in mind.

+1 just buy a good take apart can. I went with the ss sparrow and love it. Not the cheapest can out there but rated for full auto or multi caliber and very easy to clean.
