18t vs 51t mount on the 7.62sd
I own a AAC 7.62sd without the lever. It calls for a 18t mount, which is mounted on my .308 bolt gun. Ive been told you can use a 51t mount with this can. Ive screwed it on my 51t which is on another rifle and it seems secure. My GAP built bolt gun shifts about 3 moa with the can on vs with the can off. All groups run about 1/2 inch can on or off but the POI shift is noticable. Could it be the 18t mount? Would a 51t mount be more secure with less POI shift? Thanks.
It will work on a 51t but they usually wont lock up as tight on the finer teeth and you have to be real careful with it backing off.
