Can spikes 37mm handle beehive/12ga rounds?

This seems to be a matter of some debate. Some posts I have seen say that the "receiver has not been built to handle these rounds." Others report using them without issues. I have checked here and other sites without any definitive answers. Does anyone shoot these rounds with any "regularity?"

So those of you whom have DD'd a spikes launcher what say you? Any reports of breakage? Please detail your experiences if you will.

Thank you

I use a Beehive all the time in my HAVOC but there are no 37mm Beehives that I know of. You have to bore the tube out to 40mm and that requires you to register it as a DD. I have two tubes for mine, a 37mm and a 40mm. No breakage problem after almost 2 years of use.

thank you for the response. I am looking at DDing a 37mm and getting a second tube for boring out.

Who bored the barrel out for you? Thinking of getting one to form 1 but want to make sure it could handle serious rounds like buckshot and such before spending the money. Boring the barrel seems like a great cheap alternative to a m203
