Why were you banned on uzitalk??
What is retail on these things?
What is mag price and avialability??
$750 i think
Hard to believe they made something that works. I'm skeptical after spending a year trying to get their Saiga conversion to work with no success. Had to send it to another builder to salvage it. Not that I don't think the review was fine, but I'd be scared to buy a production version. They already talked me out of my money once and don't really back their products very well in my opinion. If I pay $2500 to have something built and then it doesn't work when i get it I would expect them to fix it since they sent me a nonworking gun. But no, they wanted me to pay to ship it back and pay for them to check it out (mind you, they sent it to me in non-working condition). Should've just sent me a gun that functioned. Good review, but can't say much for the company.
Hopefully my experience was an isolated one....

I'm told they took a vote, and more people voted against me than voted for me. (I was told this by chili)
Other people think I got banned cuz I gave a good review of the Alliance Armament upper.
Who knows? Who cares?

I'm aware of the troubles you mention. Think I've heard enuf instances that I don't think you are compeltely alone on that.
But I can tell ya this upper works. Quite well.
I checked out some additional info on the website, I like the idea of the caliber conversions they plan on offering, but I've always thought they had good ideas; just the whole "standing behind the product" issue makes me skeptical. I did notice a warranty on their website now. Maybe they can salvage their reputation with this new upper. I'd be willing to give them another shot if I saw more positive feedback popping up. Who knows, maybe all the Saiga drama in their camp made them rethink their pr strategy.....time will tell.
Thanks for taking the time to post the review, I definitely enjoyed watching it!

Just curious... hadn't seen you post over there in awhile and when I searched for a topic I saw your username had a banned under it.

Yeah, kinda caught me out of the blue. I've been in a few Biblical / philosophical dustups over there....usually its me answering 4 or 5 guys at once, with them hurling insults and me respnding with forceful logic, but for the last 6 mos, I thought I'd been keeping it pretty milktoast and non confrontational.
Oh well....their house, their rules.
Thanks for the review. Did you run any factory ammo with a suppresor?
would you say its more or less gassy in your face, than a lage upper?
I'd think less since its further away, but who knows.

I did not. Factory subsonic is too pricey, and factory supersonic is (IMO ) pointless w/ a can.

I'd say maybe a little less gassy, since the ejection port is where most of the gas is coming from. I really need to try it again and see.
From my research, whatcha really need is a high volume can - like a Bowers or 2 stage Mac suprpessor.
Buncha more rounds down range.... observations -
1. Type of ammo will affect rate of fire. Significant difference in rate of fire between Monarch steel cased and Wolf Military Classic (Wolf was def faster)
2. I prefer this upper without a vert grip. Took the factory rail off the handguard and was able to invert my grip to put thumb under it and fingers over top the upper. Helped controllability.
THis time, I was testing controllability. THis is the test I ran:
1. Two sighter shots semi auto - hit 2 o'clock on the center triangle. (0.75" c-t-c )
2. Five three shot bursts.
Results:
For the most part, on a three shot burst, I was able to get two hits in a 4" x 6" area at 25 yards. You'll see 5 "flyers" on the target - one is actually just off the page at 1 o'clock.
This was using exclusively Wolf Military classic, so as not to have RoF differences mess with my groups.
Very controllable.
you dont have to change sears or anything, right?
just pull the pin, swap the upper, get to shooting?
its my understanding (which could be wrong) that with the SCA upper, you had to add another sear. which is far from ideal.

Yes, true plug and play..
I beleive SCA needed a "Monster sear" partly because the design of their bolt allowed the bolt to get a long run at the sear catch, and eventually wore it out.
AA milled several catches into the bolt that would catch teh sear more quickly so as to eliminate that problem.
Garandman,
I sent you an IM with some questions and concerns,
Jason

Thanks. Good to know.
I'm kinda torn on getting a longer sub gun upper (aa or Lage) but having drums sure is tempting.

Everybody loves a good drum solo. :)
