Anybody running 300 blk on their RRs?
Just curious. I am waiting on approval for my 1st MG which is also my 1st M16, and I've been tossing around a few ideas with different uppers. I bought a 5.45x39 LWRC M6AK last week because I have lots of 5.45 laying around and wanted to shoot something cheaper than 5.56, but 300 BLK is something I've been curious about. Has anybody tried it? Will the subsonic 300 BLK cycle? Is the recoil enough to possibly damage the receiver? I have a 762SD that I would be using and I've been checking out the short barrels that AAC sells. Any help is appreciated.
the first time i used my 300 BLK upper was on a RR lower, worked pretty good. wounded like a full auto paintball gun
Not sure about damage to the reciever, but i can't imagine it would. I have a SWD m11/9 that I shoot 147 subsonics out of. I think it hits with athority but it won't hold a candle to the 300 blackout with 190 or 210s. subsonics cycle just fine, and are very quite. The rate of fire is perfect with a spikes st-2 buffer somewhere around 800ish. I wish i had taken some video but I didn't. anyway I don't think you will be dissapointed except for the cost of ammo.
I'm looking to get setup for reloading myself, but in the meantime I have several buddies who do it. I have lots of 5.56 brass laying around. I'm just addicted to shooting suppressed subsonics, and I figured the 300 BLK would fit the bill nicely. Thanks for the info. I guess I'll have to buy a 300 upper then

I'm pretty sure it'd wound better than a full auto paintball gun.
I think what you meant to say is, with a suppressor, 300 BLK is quiet as a mouse fart.
Even reloading the ammo gets expensive. I probably have 40 cents per round in each of my subsonic loads not including my time.

Brave soul. Glad he made it.
Everything I have shot with it has died.
Do not shoot it much on F/A as it is too expensive.
hahaha..... SOUNDED! haha, no i didn't shoot anyone with it
I use my 300 upper with my DIAS and it's a lot of fun with 147 gr pulled subs or tracers. Quiter than my MP5 and the brass is easier to track down.
What load are you using with the 147 grain bullets to get them to stay subsonic but stabilize?

8.0 grains of 2400 in LC cases out of a 1/8 twist Paladin Machine barrel.
do you load the tracers for supersonic and do they light properly?
The only bullet I load supersonic right now is a 108 gr frangible for cheap blasting
