I was looking at some olds vids of shooting my AR50 I remeber that the barret ammo would recoil harder and defintly have more blast than the surplus stuff.

Any one else notice this? I havent crono'd the differences but was curious

I was at a 1000 yard match on sight in day in 2006 and some one was shooting some PMC ammo and some ammo from Talon out of his ALS and his bolt was real hard to open shooting both. I had a case of Barrett ammo with the Magtech brass, so I gave him a box to try and it had less pressure signs than the other two, the bolt would open with ease.

I have found that 'bolt pressure' is not a good indicator of performance in calibers I shoot. It seems to vary by powder/case

I dont know on a 50 though, is it a reliable indicator?
