No real reason why they should. They don`t get going until quite some distance from the end of the barrel.

Oh, BTW, please be careful shooting those too. No one likes a fire to put out several hundred yards away from the shooting bench.

Shooting tracers is perfectly safe in any 50cal rifle.

Firing tracers from an unlined barrel is an old wives/Internet tale. Ignore it.
Load 'em up and have fun. At long range they are fun to show people the ballistic arc of the .50 and the effects of wind at long range.
I use the few tracers I have left just for that reason.

I have fired hundreds of M20s, M17s, and M48A1s through my 99 and have had zero issues. I have found IMR5010 to light them most consistently.

If you shoot at a hard target they will eventually hurt your face.
You will grin so much you will be sore the next day.
