Best price for NIB Barrett 82a1? Hmmmm?

Just checking around for the best price on a NIB Barrett 82a1.Mainly looking for just the standard setup(gun, one mag,etc.). I'd love to find one local to mid. TN if at all possible to save on shipping....but, who knows? You guys come across any "good" deals on them? Thanks for any and all help.

I don't know where the best place is but I'd try to get it out of state because I guarantee shipping will be less than 7% sales tax on an $8K gun.

Buds is the cheapest.

I got mine for a hell of a deal from a local guy that was getting divorced.

I only wish sales tax was 7% here. It's almost 10% in Tennessee

That sucks. My local sales tax is only 6%.

As for the cheapest place, Buds is the cheapest that I could find when I was purchasing my M82A1. I search everywhere online. The only way to get a cheaper one is to look through the classified sections on firearms forums and buy one from an individual.

Lynn Schryver is a pretty big Barrett dealer. I'd give him a call, in addition to Buds.

Schryver was one of the first ones i looked at but, they are kind of on the high side. Buds does have a pretty good price on them. Guess i'll search around a little more just to be sure...who knows. Thanks for the responses so far.

There was two listed as NIB on sturm in the last week or so, both under $7300.

I've had a few inquiries at my shop... and I usually quote them @ $7900+tax. Most any FFL should be able to sell at that price if you sweet talk them and pay in full up front before ordering.

$95 of Bud's Gun Shop's pricing is probably to cover the shipping due to the size and weight of the package... but trust me when I say... there is more profit in a $349 used handgun, than there is in that new 82A1.

If a shop is selling them at $7300, they are selling at a loss.

Unfortunately on a big ticket item like the 82A1... the local FFL is already at a disadvantage because he has to charge sales tax. Here in PA, that amounts to $474... which incidentally is more than double the FFL's profit on the gun.

I'd watch the forums and GB, I picked up a M107 for $7100 shipped. I had to add a NF and BORS but was able to pick them up from CL at a discount, the deals are there if your patient

Yeah, I frequent that site a "lot". I saw both of those listings and almost jumped. But i decided to stick with "new" with this particular gun. Edit to add for post "556"

I just got an email from CheaperThanDirt about some M82A1 deal they're running. The link in the email goes to http://www.ohioordnanceworks.com/HugeBarrettRifleDeal.html. It kinda seems like they're remanufactured and fact that it only lists them as "$2400 off!!" is annoying. But I figured I'd post anyways and you can research to see if it's a deal or not.

Congrats. Got to shoot someone elses this weekend. I can't wait for my 107A1 to finally get here.
