ALS uses them and Darren has won quite a few matches. I wouldn't hesitate to give him a call and he can give you more info than you would want to know.

I have seen several matches won with the same barrels also.
With the 4 groove barrel you need to use about 2 grains more powder to get the same velocity of a 6-8 groove barrel. They don't seem to last as long as a Loathor Walther barrel or a Fedderson barrel before accuracy drops off. I looked down the bore of one that had just over 1000 rounds through it with loads that were not hot at all, and with a bore scope we could see a very small section of one of the lands was missing in the middle of the barrel, but even with that, the rifle was still winning Hunter class at 1000 yard matches and still shooting some sub MOA groups @ 1000 yards. The same day we looked down the barrel of my rifle with a Loathor Walther Super Comp barrel that had just over 4000 rounds through it, and over an inch of the lands just ahead of the throat were ate away and the barrel had a lot of heat stess cracks and pits in the bore. Even with what we saw that day in my barrel, my Super Comp barrel shot the smallest group of the match at 7" and won 2 second place and 6 first place awards. It was a Ferret rifle with a L/W Super Comp barrel that won the 2 first place classes that I shot second place in.
