Out the front knives???
Does anyone make a out the from that will puncture skin when pressed against someone and the button is pressed?
If the spring were strong enough to do that, how on earth would you get it closed again?
I have wondered about this as I own a BM Infidel but if the end result is a stab wound why would it matter if you placed the handle up to their body or just stabbed them
after it was already deployed? What scenario were you thinking about? or were you just wondering?
A Microtech HALO might make you bleed but not much penetration.
You need one of the super secret Ballistic Knives

No.
ETA: OK, "puncture skin" . . . as in one or two layers of skin, sure. Yeah, there are knives they might nick you. But bury deep and cause a movie like deadly wound? No.

Well damn.
The 'super secret' ballistic knives will but they are illegal in this country. Aaaaand they are pretty much a straight non folder anyway so you press the tip against someone and it is like any other sheath knife. Anything that would do that would make a hole in your pocket, leg, groin, etc and you wouldn't want a 'premature ejection' anywhere in any pocket.
Dalton Out The Fronts have the strongest springs by far. They are single action like the Halos and have manual retraction of the blade. But when it fires, it will do some serious damage. The Bemchmade OTFs will come off tebtrackband break just trying to open the blade into a sheet of paper. Watch the pathetic YouTube videos.
As mentioned, you'll want a single action OTF (not double action like the Infidel or Ultratech). Look for a strong spring as well.
Some people claim Datlon knives have some of the strongest firing springs for OTFs. a Dalton Cupid will make u bleed, but not puncture very far, the blade is pretty thick.
