Does anyone have this knife or know someone that does. Any feedback?

I've got one. Cost a hair over $60 from Amazon. The knife is a beast, thick and heavy. The out-of-box edge is good but is easily improved on. The handle is comfortable. The sheath is functional and secure. I stripped the finish off my blade. It's very hard to beat the becker line for the price IMO.

I handled an older one a buddy has. Personally I thought it was too thick and heavy for me. Nice knives for the price. I havean older "crewman"

The sheath mine came with was kind of lame. I think Esee has an advantage in coming with a decent sheath.

For the price and the large amount of positive reviews on Amazon I'd say it's a good deal

It's actually the Becker BK2 "Campanion". I don't know why that website calls it the Companion.

I've got one. Overall, I'm not that impressed with it. It is very heavy and personally, I don't think it needs to be 1/4" thick. Although you can put a decent edge on one, it is to big/bulky to use well. It intends to be somewhere between a large chopper and a smaller all around use knife, and doesn't seem to do either one exceptionally well. The sheath is absolutely horrible, and that is the most common complaint.

The big plus is that it is fairly inexpensive.

I dont understand why a 5 inch blade has to be 1/4" thick.

3/16" is as thick as i'll go with a 6" or less blade. 1/4" is only needed for a chopper with a big blade.

That said i've owned a few Beckers and they are great quality for the price. They have a huge cult following! Im not a fan of the grivory scales, but if you stipple them they arent too bad. The sheaths are pretty cheap and not very user friendly. Most people end up buying a kydex sheath for there Becker, but if you do that it puts you up in the price range of ESEE knives. The couple Beckers i had also arrived with small flaws in the finish, but again for the price its kind of expected.

It's well made, sturdy, with an extremely thick blade. It's actually heavier than the BK7, which I prefer.

The included sheath is fine IMO.

For the money you can't find a better "one knife solution" except for the bk16

I have it and love it. It's a tough knife that you could do about anything with. Great camp knife

I have one and love it. There are a couple new Becker offerings that look good too. I am not sure what you are looking for the knife to do.
