Try to tighten the magazine catch one turn. It may help take the wobble out of your magazines, allowing the rifle to feed right. I assume trying other magazines is going to be difficult for you in NY...
Thanks, I'll try that. Yes NY is rather poor. All my mags are preban.... you find what you can at shows.... sometimes a local dealer gets some. Try to inspect it and hope for the best. Got magpul followers and new springs...except for my most recent allocation an O-Kay.
I have to say the the Varmageddons seem real accurate. I got better results with the 6 of those I tried than even the BTs. Bipod and shoulder/fist under grip... 3 grouped in .75. This wasn't a bench test but more velocity testing working up loads today. 20" bull barrel 1/8.

There is some slop in the mag well and the old mags I have will rock a little. I noticed the bolt rode over the rear of the case and wedged the case about midway at least a couple times. Are these bullets touchier than the others? What am I gonna do with these?
Sometimes if your bolt is hitting the midpoint on the case, it can be because your load isn't strong enough. Might be something to think about if you are down at min load levels.
Also, check all your mags. Push the follower down a little, and check for nose dimples in the front inside face of the magazine. They do wear out. Magpul followers will help, but they won't fix a mag that looks like a gravel road on the front.

Thanks for the input....new springs in and magpul followers. I will check the front. Loads are full velocity..3250ish on 55gn.
Going to the range soon... checking pic.
