Fed LC new or Winchester commercial for reloading?
New 2009 LC (uncrimped) or Winchester commercial for 5.56 reloads. Both are about the same price. Which is better?
In my experience, the Win commercial was better. BUT, I only had a small sample of LC 06.
Both are good but I would get the Winchester.
If case volume could be a factor I would go with the LC09.
Winchester has a web thickness of .191 average and a .372" rim for the cases I've measured.
LC09 was .186 web thickness. Rim diameter of .374". Should provide a bit more volume.
If one is crimped and the other not crimped, the choice is easy, you can save a lot of time not having to fool with removing the crimp, even though its a one time thing, it still takes time that could be used on something else.
