wrong dies?

sorry if this is a dumb question just want to check.
Im reloading for. 223 for my ar and i thought trim length was supposed to be 1.740 if the pic works youll see it says 1.760. Is this the right die, thats just the maximum length?

I'm sorry to answer your question with a question, but what do your reloading books say about the case length? That will answer your question for yourself.

but I'll make it easy you are supposed to trim to 1.750 the diagram included with your dies shows the maximum.
you don't need to trim till your cases are longer than this.
I trim all my cases to 1.750 the first time i process them for consistency.

1.740 is the minimum
1.760 is the maximum
1.750 is what you trim to
