 Blown Remington primers

I just recently started to use Remington Small Pistol primers for loading 9mm. Up until now I've used either CCI or Winchester and never had a problem. Now with the Remington I am getting blown/pierced primers every so often. I'm also getting a lot of misfires. Has Remington been having problems with these primers lately. Has anyone else had problems with them?

You should be using the Rem 5 1/2 primer for 9mm.

243winxb... no offense intended, but... Remington uses ( in their own factory ammo ) the 1 1/2 in 9mm, and the 5 1/2 in .357 Sig, .40 SW , and the .357 Mag

To the OP, which primers are you using from Rem. ? I would suggest you e-mail Remington and ask if your lot # has any "known" issues. Better safe than sorry.
And if you could tell us your load that you are using.

The working pressure of the 9mm's range is very close to the PSI of the other calibers, my reasoning for suggesting using the Rem. 5 1/2 primer.
