How often is this part going to need to be replaced?
Mine just broke/cracked with less than 1000 rounds on the rifle. All 223 no 5.56 nato rounds
So far 1 barrel replacement, due to out of spec chamber.
1 cam pin, broke the ear off.
Now the plastic that holds the firing pin in the back of the bolt assembly.
Watching the bolt and sleeve they still look good.
The good people at RATWORX to the rescue again and they believe MSAR will be up and producing rifles in a few months.
I hope so because it seems like every time I use this thing something lets go in it.
Two words for ya-SELL IT
Or two more-STEYR AUG
One day all you folks will learn.
Ratworx has replacement tail cocking pieces for $10. They are made in house by Ratworx.

Yep, got one ordered as soon as I found the crack, and will ship back the broken one for replacement after I get their's installed and have a spare.
I was looking at PJS's site and it looks like AUGs have a few different cocking pieces including a steel one.
All the pics of the firing pin parts look like they might fit the MSAR also but with having access to some don't know.
I wonder if the AUG bolt sleeve could be modified/used if need be?????
Gas piston parts? In the pics they look the same but don't know without having them in my fat little hand.
US made barrels that would be nice, saw those there too.
Is there a list of interchangeable parts between AUG and MSAR (modified or otherwise) in case down the road MSAR never gets it together?
Thanks

I didn't know they were making those in house...my god do I hope they start pumping out bolt sleeves soon.

There is a thread here running below yours.
The member is claiming 26000 rounds out of his MSAR.
Why not touch base with him and ask what he is running for parts?

Everyone has better luck with their MSAR, Ratworx said their shop gun has umty thousand rds.thru it and not broke anything.
Just not my kind of luck, if it has a weak spot I'll find it sooner than later

.
Part of the reason for looking into alternate replacement parts of hopefully better quality.
