 Keltec KSG's have shipped!!!

Hope this is not a dupe. On another forum it has been posted that Kel Tec shuts down for the holidays on the 23 and KSG's in stock are going out the door!!

Can I link to another forum on here, or is it against the rules?

ETA: From what I understand, this was posted from G. Kelgren's account on that forum. Maybe Hardshell can confirm or deny.

All the lust for this shotgun (myself included) and no one comments?

Maybe everybody is at work making money so they can buy their KSG.

I'll believe it when I see more than a few released to the market.

You wont see a million comments because when kel-tec releases something new.. They release 100 a year

You will probably see 5 members here with KSGs by summer unless KT decided to make a lot of em

My buddy is an FFL and has promised me the first one he gets, at cost. The wait is absolutely killing me.

This. They will release two a month so they still won't be available to the masses

So, you're going to be one of the 5 possibly

I want an RFB just to have one, and I want a KSG as well. Unfortunately, at the rate they are made, it may be a couple more years before they will be sitting on dealers shelves for fair prices, as a common item.

I'm waiting for the 100page thread on how to do a "fluff and buff" to get it to cycle correctly.

just wondering why? it's a shotgun...a hammer. wouldn't a 30 rd ar or ak make more sence? and while you make take game with, again it wouldn't be my first choice. in semi i could see more purpose for it but as a pump i don't.

again, just wondering it's purpose. most peole have a reason of thought of purpose for any purchase.
toy thing i get, heck i justified my plasma cutter to make targets, hydrolic press to convert two saiga's etc etc.

Really f**king short shotgun with two magazine tubes and a 14+1 capacity. Total big boy toy!

Personally I am waiting on the Bullpup Unlimted 870 kit, I personally found the KSG to be "gimmicky" and the BU870 to be a bit more practical. But i won't fault anyone who wants the KSG!

I'm interested for a home shotgun; SxS is what I use for birds (sentimental) thus the only other shotgun I have an interest in is this

True, a Benelli semi would probably be sweet too...

Ours is mainly for our gals. I have a wife and 2 daughters. Regular shotguns are to long, to heavy, and hard to maneuver for a gal that is 5' 5".
The KSG is a handy gun. And when you actually train with a shotgun you find out they are a pain in the ass, i.e. slug changover, stuff like that.
KSG if it runs, flip of a switch to the other tube. Were starting with one, if it runs, we'll try and get another. 2 of everything.

ETA; It also holds 15 rounds

It's a purpose-built self-defense shotgun in a new innovative configuration that has advantages over other pump shotguns that are based on hunting shotguns.

Please give some detail to your dealing with the KSG.

just palying with it at their smaller booth in the police section. there main booth was packed and their was a line to see them.
it is short for sure but it is also buky and chunky. it's no aug or fn.
the one i was handling had an issue with its trigger. i forget what exactly but the rep sheepishly said there was a problem with them and it will be fixed before production.

i may learn to love it after firing a few hundred through one. i bet that they aren't holding up in their test guns and that's why the delay in release. something isn't right here. if it isn't released before shot there will many questions asked about it for sure.

for me i'll stick with my hk-m1 and mossy 590, neither of which is my go to first gun if a bunp in the night.

They're pretty much on schedule to release when they promised, nothing holding up production as far as anybody knows.

Supposed to ship the first batch of them this week, so I guess we will see.

I've never handled a KSG, but from the youtube videos of actual KSG's in use, they seem to have serious problems outside of being a range toy.

I won't be buying one. Hopefully those of you who do purchase a KSG will have one that runs correctly.

I must be watching the wrong videos.....the ones I have seen have worked right.

There were some issues with the first guns that have been remedied.

1) Of course it's not. It's a 12 gauge shotgun. Sort of unfair to compare it to the awesomeness of the AUG design.

2) It was a trigger reset issue which has been remedied.

The only complaint I've read about recently was short stroking which made me . If you're short stroking, that's an operator error, not an issue with the gun. I have a new magazine laying around here somewhere with a 3 page write up, and the writer had nothing bad to say about it (shocking coming from a gun magazine, I know).

The KSG at the bullpup shoot simply got so dirty that extraction became difficult. When that KSG is even remotely clean it runs fine. I have had no issues with the trigger. Some people do have an issue with shortstroking the KSG, especially with a forward grip installed. I have shot my demo KSG hundreds and hundreds of rounds and not shortstroked it, even with the forward grip. The only thing I have had to do is tighten up the tube selector one time. I really like this little shotgun.

They are like the shotgun versions of the Kardashian sisters.
-each one is uglier than the last
-way to much press coverage
-couldn't afford one even if I knew where to find one
