My experience with the Gen IV STG-556 crossbolt safety is that it is very "mushy" compared to the Steyr. The Steyr has a higher inital effort, but a crisp, postiive release and full travel to from On to Off. The STG-556 has this soft "mushy" feel throughout its travel, and will easily stop in an intermediate position. Is there a fix available to make the STG safety more like the Steyr?
