California legal E4... What would I have to do?

Might have a great job opportunity in California. I want to take my toys with me, so what would I have to do to make my E4 CA legal?

1. Ensure 30" minimum by welding on a comp that brings total length >30" (other options?)
2. Raddlock (does this really make me legal? I see conflicting messages about it. How did MSAR handle it originally?)
3. 10rnd limiters in my PMags.

Is this accurate? What would your recommendations be?

PM VacaDuck. He can give you the low down on mags, for sure. I thought the mags had to be permanently modified to ten rounds, not just blocked. Unless that's what you meant.

A 20" barrel will bring you over the 30" limit. If you plan on adding an extension to a 16" barrel instead, keep in mind that it does NOT have to be permanently attached in order to comply with Cali law (so no welding required).

Raddlock and Assault Planet are both options for E4 maglocks.

Interesting... I have the 18" HBAR variant and its a hair short of the 30" minimum. Could I just purchase a comp that's long enough to push me over 30" and be OK even if its not tacked or welded?

I previously saw the vid on the Raddlock, but I'm interested to know if this is truly legal in CA since it's not DOJ approved. Anyone have experience with this area of the law and the Raddlock?

Yes.

ALL magazine locking devices carry this warning. The California DOJ is not in the business of approving magazine lock designs.

If you want to know all about how it's done here, I'd suggest joining the CalGuns.net forum, as they'll have all the answers to any California-specific questions that you might have.
