ITAR regulations did not allow for cameras where I was. But you're right, it probably didn't exist.

I should clear something up though. It was an older E4 that was made FOR this company, not BY this company. Still had the plastic mag catch. I steered them to where they can get the metal parts, but it'll probably never get shot anyway.

Dave has probably handled this particular rifle.

Dave could probably regale us with stories of the unique SN's that came out of Bradford back in the day.

Yeah, I think I recall Dave telling me or telling us that they had done one for Magpul.

Wonder if it had the FNH barrel?

I didn't see anything else on it special besides the SN. Had a top rail, no optic.

Yup.

What? Did you think Magpul was going to start making AUG's or something?

I guess I should've said that I can't divulge any details of HOW I came to be holding this unique E4.

One of my E4s still has the plastic catch, hasn't failed or stuck yet.

(Of course, now it will self-destruct the very next time I fire it since I posted that... )

This. The "Magpul1" gun was a standard E4 with a custom serial number. There were quite a few "custom" serial numbers produced. My favorite, (other than Robertson1 and Robertson2) would have to be a rifle built for another heavy hitter in the firearm industry, "HMFIC1".
