Any help with ATF form 6 and 6a available?
Hey guys, I am looking over my ATF form 6 and 6a
Application and permit for importation of firearms, ammunition, and implements of war
and
Release and Receipt of imported firearms, ammunition and implements of war
The main problem I am having is figuring out the process. The forms themselves are pretty easy to fill out. No biggie.
The question is how does this all work?
I fill out form 6 and submit it to the ATF. Should I checkmark it so that they send it to my customs broker or send back to myself?
I will be using FEDEX as an all-inclusive package for customs brokerage and importaiton, taxes and levys, ect. ect.
So then Form 6a is confusing me. I understand that the items must be released from customs and that form 6a allows them to do so. So how do I get this form to them and when do I fill this out?
Who do I send it to?
