I'm thinking of picking up a 522 pistol to convert to SBR. What if anything has to be done to put one of Sigs collapsable folding stocks on one? I haven't handled one of the pistols so I just want to know what I'm looking at...
It's a very easy conversion. You have to knock one pin out, remove a plastic cap on the end of the receiver and then put the butt stock of your choice on the receiver. Lastly, you knock the pin back in to hold the butt stock on the gun. It takes about 2 minutes from start to finish.
Of course, you don't want to do any of the above until you have your tax stamp in hand. My 522 SBR is one of my favorite .22s.
Awesome thanks for the info. I was hoping it was going to be that easy but you never know.... What is the process of removing the cap?

I just pulled it off the receiver with my fingers after the pin was removed. It's just a piece of plastic.
Awesome thanks again. And just to confirm this will allow the factory sig folding stock to be installed? Which stock do you have installed?
