Sturdy Gun Safe Specifications
I got board one night and decided to make a spreadsheet about Sturdy gun safes. I think it's a useful tool when comparing Sturdy safes against other safes, so I've decided to share it with the hive. The specs are for the base models with and without fire lining.

Yes thanks, I meant to say so the other day; that was a lot of work.
Thanks for the comparison

Thanks, that's really going to be very helpful to people.
Thanks!
I don't know how many time's i've had to go to their site and look up stuff like that.
This helps a lot!
Thanks for sharing your work!
Thanks very helpful.
Nice spread sheet. Just wish you had worked it out a few months ago
Already have mine bolted in place
BTW, Everyone that I dealt with at Sturdy was very helpful.

My new safe ought to be here Tuesday. I got the 4824-6, not fire lined, with the extra 5' 7gauge sheets welded on the insides. Can't wait to get it in place. Thanks for the chart. Looks great.

Wow, I'm jealous. The fire lining decision is really eating at me.
Thanks for the kind words.
Nice single page comparision. Saves a lot time looking at web pages and writing notes.
I too am undecided about the fire insulation. Have to buy next larger sized safe to recover the space lost it.

I'm thinking I'm going to go with the non-lined safe. I work from my home, so its rare that it would be unoccupied for more than 1-3 hours except once or twice a month.

Bye once cry once. Get the fire lined.
Nice spreadsheet, thanks.
NICE, thanks for sharing. How is the 7 gauge extra reinforcement welded, full length welds or tacked in places?
Wow jaflowers, that is huge. Nice looking gun safe congrats.

Looks like, top to bottom, there is three welds. I wouldn't call them tacks, they are all about 2 inches long each and very thick. The three weld are at the front and the back of the extra plates so six welds per plate. Seems like it'd be fine in a break in attempt.

I would agree, that would be more then enough.
