Who has Century Uzis for sale cheap?

So I used to have a Norinco that I sold off and now I find myself picking up Uzi parts again because they are cheap at the moment.

I guess I am going to need to get me another Uzi clone at some point and SBR this one. Who has the Century Uzis cheaper than the $699 that J&G is asking for them? How soon before the prices on them tank like they did on the C93s?

Does the Century have the attachment hardware for the wooden stock as well? Any bad word on these other than the typical Century warnings? I did see the note about some receiver issues on them.

TIA
Eric

Why buy a gun built by semi trained monkeys when you can get a Vector Uzi for less?

That is a pretty good price but I have heard less than stellar things about the Group Industries receivers where the Century is built on the Nodak.

Century gets a bad rap about a lot of things but I have a Golani, a Yugo UF, a C93 and a Draco from them and have not had any real issues with any of them. An Uzi much like an AK is pretty hard to screw up.

Funny, I heard just the opposite. On the Uzi Files the Vectors have a very good rep.

If you check out Uzi talk forums there is a lot of bad reports about the century.

Thanks, I haven't been over there in a long time, I guess I will have to check it out.

The century I put my hands on looked like crap. When you take the barrel out, the locking piece for the barrel nut falls out in your hand along with the spring. Also the receiver looks thin and crappy when you look at the protective ears for the sights etc.

If it was 350 bucks I may look at one but for 700 I wouldn't touch it. The vectors I've seen are much higher quality.

If the Century is built on a NoDak receiver this alone is cause for concern:

Yeah, my Vector is a tank and has had no issues.

+1
I've had a Vector for about two years now. 2500+ rounds through it and the thing barely seems broken in.

Vectors can be had new for $700 or less. If you look hard enough, you can probably find an IMI gun for $900. A Century would need to be under $500 to be even considered.

According to NoDak the Century Uzi is built on a Global receiver........ not NoDak.

Hmm...I was under the impression that they were Nodaks. I will probably pick up one of the Vectors that were linked to earlier in that if nothing else they will retain their value a little bit better.

I have already amassed a few parts so I need to just go ahead and get one so that I can get the SBR process rolling.

Everyone else who?
I have a Century Uzi that's built on a Global Machine & Tool receiver. The first 3 digits of the serial number are even GMT.
There's some relevant info here, starting with post #124:

[edit:] Pics of it are up in the EE.
