Does anyone know if the KPOS works with a Glock 17 gen 4? And what if it has raised sights?

And do you already have your tax stamp?

I don't have a stamp, just considering getting one.

Yes, please point out a source, because in extensive searching about a year ago I only found one company (that to boot was foreign) that made them, and they had a bad reputation and no longer sell them.

Mine is not a Gen 4, but I am sure I have read the KPOS fits the Gen 4. Also reasonable raised sights should be fine. I have tons of room with standard sights in mine. Even enough room to actually use the iron sights in a pinch with the KPOS kit installed.

How doyou like the KPOS? I think the Gen2 looks pretty cool and fun as a plinker.

I put a 7.5" barrel on my stamped RONI SBR. Works great at 35 yards.

I like my KPOS. I SBR'ed my Glock 35 so I have a little longer barrel. The KPOS makes for a nice platform to add a reddot sight on it. I also mounted a laser and a flash light.
But no matter how many gadgets I mounted on the KPOS, I can pop out the pistol and be back to normal pistol mode in literally less than 10 seconds.
I really like how compact it is with the stock folded.
The only two things I want to change on it (which I am working on my concept) are to make the stock just a little longer and a little better check weld.
What is there is fine, I was just use to my older Wilhelm Bubbits stock that was a little longer with better check rest and stoarge for extra mags in the buttstock.
I also have one of the older Aluminum under folder stocks which is almost too long, but it has no check weld at all.
I also have one of the Endo adpaters with a Magpul CTR which is the best for cheek weld and is adjustable for length of pull from short to way long.

Of course neither the Wilhelm Bubbits, the Alminum underfolder or the Endo with CTR has any optics mounting ability or folding stock ability like the KPOS does.
I will try to get some photos posted soon.

Hey, now wait a goldanged minute. I didn't know you could get a MechTech w/out a stock...

Or with a collapsible stock...

That's an assault pistol that comes from the factory w/ craploads of aftermarket trigger parts, single, double column, & extended magazines, in 7 different calibers, and has a complete rail system available. You can leave it without a stock, & cut the bbl down as you like, from 16" to 1"; leave the bbl @ 16" & add a M4 stock or a fully collapsible stock, or you can SBR or AOW it.

Only one question: Does it run?

http://www.igbaustria.com/shop/index.php?cat=c42_IGB-Carbine-Barrels.html

It's a gas assisted action - the bbl still recoils & tilts in order to unlock the slide - but it also has gas ports that propel the "Impulse chamber" against the front of the slide to rack it.

Given what they're charging in the EU for their bbls, I have hard time believing their stuff is crap - but between changing the operating system of your Glock to gas-assisted short recoil, inevitable customs delays, & customer service in German, I could see how they'd get a bad reputation here. I want one - I don't need one, but I want one.

I contacted them a year or so ago and they no longer sell them in the US

ETA: IIRC I contacted the US distributor

how much room is there inside the KPOS at the end of the slide with a 34/35? I am wondering if a 24/17L will also fit?

The Mako groups website list the 17L as compatible.
If you take off the slotted shroud on the front you can put any length slide or barrel in the KPOS as it would be open striaght out the front end.
The shroud is held on by 3 screws.
I ran mine without the shroud for a while when I was using a suppressor.
I later cut a slot in the shroud to give clearance for my G35 slide ( The part I cut out is inside and can't even be seen).
Personally I think they should ship them with a similar slot pre cut in the shroud to allow G34 and G35 slides.
G17L slides might be too long to slot the shroud but should be just fine to use without the shroud.

Yes it is, but I don't run it on that setup.
This is the setup I use:

I just need one of Beta's new Glock Drum Mag
