I got my Timney trigger for my FN SPR and I am a little annoyed.
I see this advertised everywhere as 1.5lb-3lb and even 1lb on some sites. The instructions say no to adjust below 2lbs or you could get slam fires. I tested it from 1.5 up to 2.5lbs and I can get it to slam fire regardless. Now this is with violent/high velocity cycling of the bolt and is hard to accomplish. It is harder the heavier I make the trigger. I am just leaving it at 1.5lbs as I really don't think I could reproduce the same results when loading a round and furthermore I don't see any situation I would cycle as violently as it takes to get it to slam fire. I am still annoyed that it couldn't be designed so it doesnt happen.
i was looking at getting an FN 308. was the factory trigger that bad that it needs replaced?
what barrel length do you have and how's the accuracy?
