Need help selecting scope rings for Rem 700
I am receiving this Rem 700 AAC-SD rifle
I am getting this Vortex 4-16x50 scope
I have this cheap Weaver base (I'm going to attempt to bed it)
Anyone have any ring recomendations? I don't need QDs or MK4s, just something solid and as low as possible but tall enough for the bell to clear the barrel.
Thanks in advance.
Weaver 6 Hole Tactical rings in a medium.

This, Burris XTR, and TPS rings.
I have used the weaver rings in low, with that weaver base, and still have room for BC caps.
My plan was to go with the TPS rings...for the money they look hard to beat. I did a lot of research on them. I just ended up with a local deal on Badger's that was way to good to pass up on.
I'd probably go with the Burris Extreme Tactical, low height. I'm pretty sure that's the height that I have on my 700P with the SS 10x42 HD, and there is space, enough so that you probably wouldn't have a problem with a 50mm objective.
I have TPS super lows on my Vortex HS 5-15x44 30mm...and a "cheap weaver base" with room to spare.
TPS rings are very nice for the price, and not so huge and gawdy like the burris xtremes or weaver tacticals.
I'd have to double check, but I think a 50mm would fit. I definitely wouldn't want anything higher...in fact, I'm trying to pursue lower options.
Badger or Seekins and don't look back.
Badger. The TPS rings are pretty good also.
That's a very nice rifle and a good scope. It would be a shame not to use the best components to finish her off. I bought a Badger base and Badger rings. They are rock solid and built like a tank.
Badger or nightforce. Don't be scared of the EE.
TPS rings are the cheapest I would go for that type rifle. I had a pair of the Weaver Tactical rings, was not impressed and they are not even picatinny as advertised. The cross bolt stripped under 50 in/lbs.
Badger, Seekins or LaRue.
