Since I bought this rifle and i think I have come a long way. I have learned a lot but i am still confused about the ammo. I really want to go with 175 gr rounds and I found the company I am going to use, Southwest. they have a few different 175 rounds and all are different prices. I have tried to email them and call them to ask them which would be a good fit for my rifle. Does anyone know? I have a 20 inch barrel with 1 in 11.25 twist. Thanks for the help.
If you are talking about Southwest Ammo, I think the differences are in the brass they use. They all use the Sierra 175 SMK, but the brass is different. They use FC Military, Winchester, and Lapua brass. I think that is the only difference, but they could use a different powder in the new FC Military Brass ammo. I ordered the following, haven't got it yet so I can't tell you how it shoots:
SW Ammo
I ordered a box of the standard like your link and 2 boxes of the 18 buck military brass.

Just to show my confidence, I used some of their match 175 gr SMK for my AI several months back. I've ordered 3400 rounds of their stuff in the last 3 months. They are good to go.
Downsides? The time it takes the get some of their more popular ammo and they're hard to get on the phone sometimes.
thanks for the replies, They called me back, and I added a bunch of ammo to my order, I am not worried about their ship time I dont get a lot of time off to shoot.
