I have really been looking at purchasing a Mossberg MVP rifle but want to know if anyone on this forum has any experience with it. I would like to have a unbiased opinion. I really like the idea of it using the AR mag and 5.56 ammo
Thank you in advance.

Fantastic guns for the $$$$$. Bought mine new from LGS and couldn't be happier. The stock feels great for me and trigger is really sweet. It wont group quite as good as my SPS tactical but it is more than satisfactory. Love the AR mag feature and the floated barrel does a really good job, at least mine has been 100% and far above what I expected for under 6 bills.

I have heard and seen nothing but good from these rifles. Very good gun for the money.

Awesome thanks guys I will probably pick one up then... If I can find one I've looked around locally and cant find one.

AK74play what ammo do you run with it and have you used any LC XM855 62gr. If so how did it group out of the 1:9 barrel. As I have a crap ton of it on hand.

Also do you think there would be any drawbacks to shortening the barrel to 20"

Yes I have and many others. It does a fine job with just about anything. I use the same ammo I have for my AR's and have seen nothing that it wont handle well. Shortening the barrel to 20 inches in my opinion (meens nothing to anybodybut me) would be a mistake. I say this because it will F___ up the fluting, but as far as function all your gonna do is shorten it's range a bit. Cosmetically though I think it would ruin the looks of the barrel. It's not a heavy gun by any meens. The stock length is still lighter than my 20 inch SPS Tactical and my ACC-SD alsoi 20 inch barrel. These are non fluted heavy barrels though. It really is a fast handler even with the longer barrel which I would call a semi-heavy barrel + being fluted is pretty light all things considered. If you buy one and for some reason it's just not for you, you certainly wont have any problem moving it on.
