What sling should I get for my 308 bolt gun? I will be packing it in the hills alot so my main requirement is it being comfortable while hiking.

I've tried a few different slings: TAB Gear, and some others.

My favorite one for the bolt gun is the same one I use for my carbines, the VTAC padded sling.

The quick adjustment capable with the VTAC is invaluable

This is what I use. The rubber padding really sticks to you so no worries of it sliding off. And the padding is very comfortable. I use it on a 14lb rifle.

No prob..

Just buy you a bicep loop (or make one like I did because I'm cheap ) and clip it into the sling for some extra stability.

I use the TAB sling but I haven't ever carried it for that long. You may want a pad for it. but for shooting ability of the sling it's the best i've used
