For the come up sheet you put in how much elevation it takes to hit a certain range. But wind could affect the bullet. So how close to where your POA is where you would write that data in? I have steel targets that are 1.2moa at every 100yds. If I hit them would that be considered good enough for me to record the data? So when you fill yours out how specific about it are you? Thanks
I am exact as I can possibley be. There will always be error when you shoot. Then you add a little error in your come ups and then you miss. Do you have a drop chart built for your rifle? Set you up some shoot N see targets and shoot a 3 shot group that is vertically centered on the target and that would be the number you record. wind is to much of a variable to worry about when you do come-ups. Just worry about the up and down. I know this seems like alot of work but if you do it this way you know without a doubt when you dial your turret or hold that come-up you will hit vertically

For now im using Ballistic FTE for my iPhone which has got me very close but it's time to get solid data. Thanks for the info.
Something else you can use is vortex's long range ballistic calc on their website. I've used them with incredible success. You will fill out all the info to begin with then print a chart and go to the farthest distance you feel you can make a decent group and determine what your come-up is then go back to the program and enter that info and PRESTO! It gives you a corrected drop chart that had been crazy accurate for me. Just another tool for you to use that will save you costly rounds down range.
