Scope rings or base for 30-06 remington 700?
Hey people,
What is a decent option for mounting a <$500 scope to a 30-06 remington 700. I will mostly be using the rifle for 100-700y target shooting, and perhaps a hunt or two. Should i get a base and then rings? Or just go for rings? I reload and would like an accurate/dependable mounting setup.
I will be getting a .308 sps tactical r700 in the near future. I would rather go all out and spend money on the .308 and keep the 30-06 mostly stock and basic since i can suppress .308 with my 30cal can.
