 SBS engraving question

I'll be brief: are engraving requirements the same for SBS as they are for SBR?
All these "stripped lower" posts are throwing me off

Yes. Same regulation. It should be easier to find a good location of a SBS.

The barrel seems like a logical choice for a short barreled shotgun.

Unless you engrave the new barrel. I think the point is that most people do not change out SBS barrels as much as they do SBR barrels especially AR15 SBR variants. Being familiar with the regulation just gives you more options. Since it is hard to find an unobstructed place to engrave the barrel on most SBRs sometime we forget that we can engrave the barrel. Most SBS have most of the barrel available for engraving.

I had my SBS engraved on the receiever the opposite side where it says Uplander or something like that.

Plus it was a flat surface, not a round like the barrel, which can be more difficult for some engravers.
