MK18 10.3 SBR & Surefire G2 LED Question
I got a DD MK18 10.3 upper and a DD light mount with a Surefire G2 Led on it. I also have a AAC 51T muzzle break, and my question is has anyone had any issues with the concussion from the break breaking or damaging a Surefire? I`ll post pics of my setup. I normally run it suppressed, but sometimes I do shoot it unsupressed. I like the location of the light for my right hand to turn on the light with my thumb as well as my hand placement on my grip.
You'll probably mess up the anodizing but that's it.?..on a scout series made for use on there, though.

I posted some pics I was worried the concussion would break the led or the front of the light.
You should be fine.
My wife runs her light there on her SBR also and hasn't had any issues.
She also uses a G2, but right now she has a A2 birdcage, however will be switching to the 51T AAC flash suppressor.
i don't think you have to worry about that with a surefire. I have G2's mounted on each AR I have, one of them is a MK18 build. No issues over several thousand rounds collectively
I have a Surefire M600C Scout with the bezel in line with the muzzle and one inch to the side of my 10.3 inch gun. Several thousand rounds have only nuked the finish. The light performs like it did when it was new.

NO! Your light will break. You must send me the upper in order to preserve the function of the G2. Quickly.

I have a G2 with a LED conversion head even closer than that to a BattleComp on a 10 inch and don't have any issues
i have pretty much the same setup, and after running a night match towards the end it was getting hard to see. about 150 round later the lens on the light was all burned up, but it cleaned up nicely.
It'll get it very dirty, but it won't hurt anything.
