SBR and Readi Mag
Are there any problems using a readi-mag on an SBR if it covers the serial number on the left side? do you have to remove it when showing proof of legal ownership? Im about to order 2 readi-mags but not sure if I should. They do have a quick attach model I guess I could use on the SBR?
The serial number and engraving can be obscured by non permanent coverings to include paint. If asked by a BATFE agent, you'll have to take the Redimag off. Local LE supposedly doesn't have the right to ask for your private tax info (Form 1/4) but I wouldn't want to be the asshat to tell a cop to pound sand if he's not being a dick about it. I've never had to show my Form 1 (or other stamps for that matter).
Unless you plan on going to a range that requires you to show your paperwork, I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep a hex key along with the folded up Form 1/4 in your pistol grip.
