Where's the best place online to purchase a USGI replacement rear sight aperture for my Garand?

If you are trying to cure a wobble in the old one, look at the sight cover to make sure the transverse indent is not worn down, you have to take off the cover. I have had that happen and had to get a new cover. If you have no aperture, disregard.

Orion7 is usually good for new old stock USGI parts. Tony sells the good stuff. Call him up and make sure

Nothing like that thankfully. I just finished assembling a Danish returned Garand from CMP, that I've been working to get together for five years, recently and I noticed something I've never noticed before now, the rear sight aperture is a little out of round, looks like it's been dropped or hit against something and part of the metal was messed up. It still shoots like a dream and is dead on, but this imperfection will drive me insane.

Will do! Thanks.

Out of curiosity, how easy will this be to replace?

You will need to take apart the rear sight. Not very hard,

Remember to stop just after removing the windage & elevation knobs. No need to remove the spring cover.

You can use the NM peep from the M1A also.
