What would you pay for a Socom 16?
My local gunshop has one. I finger banged it and fell in love. Price is $1875.
How high would you go?
I didn't pay that much for mine, and it was LNIB with a bunch of extras...
Have they gone up in the last couple of years?
$1400. They aren't anything special. 1875 sounds high as hell.
To answer both of you, yes my LGS tends to be on the high side of pricing. Sounds way high, actually.
ETA: Goodness, HardShell, is there any gun you don't own?

As a clarification, I answered your question literally. They might actually be "worth" more, as looking on the net they pop up for between $15-1600.
I personally would not buy one for over $1400, but I'm not hard up for one.
You need to fight the desire to impulse buy. I got mine on Gunbroker for $1200 delivered to my FFL. I just was patient and bid on them, and if it went too high, I just waited for the next one. I was doing it for about three weeks before I got my purchase. $1800+ is way too much.
There is a NIB one on GB for $1350 right now. No Reserve. Save yourself a few hundred bucks you can put into ammo...

Thanks for the advice. You are right, of course. I almost bought it, but thought I'd check here first.
$750
There might be one for $750.00 on Gunbroker, but it is 3 days out from the end, and there is a reserve. No chance it goes for that price. But you never know...
I paid $1,850 for mine but it was during 2008 and the Obama scare.
However, I also sold a RRA AR-15 during the scare for $350 more than what I paid for it and putting 300 rounds down the pipe so it evened out.
