Anyone notice M1Cs for $1600 at the CMP?
They are rack grades with shot out barrels, but considering the receiver w/bracket is what makes it a "C", this seem like a great deal. It's not like the Service grades have original barrels. The one I picked up yesterday even had the base numbered to the receiver.
It's getting a scope & mount that is the real killer. Original set ups $$$$$$$$$.
They are supposodly coming out with repro M82 scopes and you can get new Griffin & Howe mount and bracket.+ a cheek pad and you're still going to be close to $1000.
If I lived close to either store and could hand pick I'd get one, just not ready to spend $1600 sight unseen......I did order a Rack $900 M1D and got one that was ok ( Greek Blue/Crap wood ) that really only needed a light recrown, I had a nice D buttstock with Cheek pad and a M 84 & mount I bought back when the CMP was selling them cheap about 12 yrs ago.
