After have numerous mounts come loose or not fit properly I believe this new mount looks promising. Found here: http://www.m14.ca/M14_M1A_CASM_Scope_Mount.html

Anyone use one or have expierience with it? I want to hear some info on it before I buy my 4th mount. And yes, I know LRB Arms M25 reciever is the best... but I cannot afford that.

Art Luppino has given it a favorable review.

I take it, with this mount, you will loose the iron's completely, except for the small peep hole at the back of the mount. Although this mount looks to be badass, it sounds like too much of a compromise with no use of the iron's anymore, for me, IMHO.

I plan on just using this rifle scoped anyways so its not a worry to me. I just seem to think it looks like a better choice then most, if I purchase it I will follow up on here letting you guys know.

I almost bought one, I'm sure it is well made knowing Viltor products but I did not want to add 13.5 ounces to my shorty

The CASM isn't a Vltor product, you are thinking of the CASV-14.

That would be good enough for me.

First really new M14 mount in some time. Reminds me of the S&K clamp on mount for the No4 Lee Enfields. The way it ties into the rear sight base and charger bridge.

The only negative I see is you don't not have iron sights available. Good reason to buy a iron sight back up M14.

Finally got the mount the other day and installed it. WOW is all I have to stay, this thing is rock solid and made to last. The rear BUIS that is built into it is deffinately a big help too. What was interesting was when I finally attached my glass(which I had left in the rings and just unbolted the rings from the last mount), that the crosshairs were at quite a cant. This shows my old SA mount was off to begin with, maybe thats why the windage adjustment was maxed out? Either way now its on their right and I will be sighting it in Wednesday with the results for you guys.

So far so good with this mount!

Got the mount the other day, unbelieveable how well put together this thing is. It is SOLID and extremely easy to put on, even when just put into the reciever without being attatched to the sight ears it is snug. Once bolted down it feels as if it IS part of the reciever. Next I put on the rings and scope and went to zero it. The scope was WAY off from the last mount as the windage was almost maxed out. Once I got it zeroed, the rifle was shooting sub MOA at 100. Very impressive. However as the day grew longer, the winds grew stronger. At 275 yards I was placing 5 shots in an about a 1.75 inch group, but all were left of the target (approximately a 10-25mph wind). Either way, through the 100 shots of 168 gr. Federal GMM and my own handloads of Federal GMM it stayed zeroed. Next test will be on a day with no wind. That will be the true test to see if its still 100% zeroed unlike the other mounts, but I feel it will be. I believe this mount is the answer to all those who cant find a mount that fit correct to their reciever. I tried a Smith Enterprise mount first, didnt hold zero, I then tried a SA gen 3 with the same issue, then the SA gen 4 with the same issue, then I tried the Promag mount that is the Arms 18 split rail clone... just wouldnt even fit my reciever. But... this new mount fit perfectly and held without problems. Great company to deal with and very personable, I reccomend giving them a shot.
