I bought my rifle used from a local shop on consignement for $1300. It has been a safe queen from the previous owner as there was only the barrel ring wear from being stored in a safe. I cannot tell if mine is a heavy barrel version or has single/double lugs on it. I want to buy the EBR stock for but I do not want to waste any money if it wouldn't work on my rifle. The previous owner didn't leave any paperwork with it. Should I call SA to find out if they could tell me?
Gently pull the action from the stock and post a clear picture of the barreled action.
Clear views of the receivers side and the barrel up to the gas cylinder are important.
I would if I had a camera. I am new to the M-1A rifle but have shot Garands and Mini-14's in the past. All of my disposable income is going into parts or ammo for this project. I will have a gunsmith check it out for me.

Understood and congratulations!
If it is a Super Match or National Match in a wood stock, it should have visible glass bedding residue on the stock.
What is the serial number range? Not asking for whole S/N, just something like "074XX"
