Does anyone know who makes the M1A/M14 scope mounts in Sportsmans Guide catalogs?
I remember seeing an ARMS mount about 2 years ago in one catalog for $249, but there are two now for $89 and I'm thinking they might have gotten a hold of the Weaver Smith Ent. mounts that you had to call and order since they weren't listed on the website. Does anyone know? They are shown as being Picatinny mounts but are have Weaver rails.
Gonna bet that it is china. Just don't see ARMS or SEI supplying CTD.
Don't know who makes them, but they aren't Bassett, Sadlak, or Smith; so I ain't interested.

That's the kicker. A year or so ago they had mounts that clearly had arms marked ones.
Marking them as ARMS.
The Chinese were simply following instructions.

I feel really dumb..somehow it never crossed my mind that they could be fakes...

Do you have a pic?
I think I might have a idea.

I don't. Theyre on the website though. I found the ones they had and they were Smith's -or copies. M14 Scope Mount, Wire EDM, NSN 5855-01-506-5750, that one. I'm not saying they were supplied by Smith's, but they could have been used surplus as they had the U.S. Govt Surplus bubble on them. There were asking $250 per.

I just looked and they were not the ones I was thinking they were (Springfield Armory).
