Why not just buy new mags? There's a ton out there and most are preban.

I second the cheaper than dirt option plus most of the mags when i ordered 25 of em were from the 60s i think the newest was from 82 or something so they should get around NY's silly mag ban too I'd imagine.

Don't rebuild, for 2 to 3 bucks just buy replacements.

Don't listen to these guys. I can sell you rebuild kits for $5 each. They come with a spring, follower, base plate, & mag. body.

Just kidding. Buying complete mags is the best choice. They are really cheap.

Which mags are best for the cetme?Should I get the aluminum or steel, and how much if any modding is needed?

From what I've heard alot of the steel ones have some rust so they would take a little work the aluminium ones that I ordered some had rust on the follower nothing some clp couldn't handle, but a good number of them were new in wrappers. Don't know which works better in a cetme though I'd imagine the aluminum ones would be easier to tweek if need be.

Could he have em shipped to a friend out of state then who would check the date stamp on them then ship them? That would be perfectly legal right?

Yes completely legal. Thats just a CTD policy. Out of the 200 I ordered all of them were dated pre 94 except one. It was dated 95.

I ordered 20 myself and I think that only one was younger than me and I was born in 85 :).
