How do I get these #^%$&^% things on my C93.I get that the little lip on the rear fits into the circular recess around the barrel but I have these metal wings from the metal thingie that holds the carrying handle that protrude down into the area and the hand guard wont fit over them. Are they supposed to be bent in more?Or am I missing something?

The slim handguards don't typically fit with the carry handle in place. The carry handle works with the wide handguard. As everyone else said, relieve the handguards to clear the carry handle.
Your mixing part never meant to be mixed you will have to butcher expensive parts like a slim hand guard. If you need a carry handle so bad try the devided sling or even the three point sling if you feel you can't carry the weight of the rifle. I have to say my girls don't have a problem with the sling carry. Good luck with your project and post a photo when done.

This was a common situation at HK back in the early days when I ran customer service. Our advice to customers was to remove enough material from the Slim HG ring to clear the tabs. If done carefully, you wont see the mods when the HG is in place. No biggie.

Well did you get it fitted? How about a picture?

I'm not the OP, but here is my C93 slim handguard modified for the carry handle.
Whoops, sorry about that second photo. Didn't realize it looked that blurry. But you can see how little the back of the handguard had to be relieved.
Actually didn't realize the carry handle came off till the first poster mentioned it

.I don't like carry handles anyway so off it came.Iv'e since added a steel HK lower and grip (WOW did that change the feel of the gun,LOVE IT) but the only place that has the grip screw wants 9 freaking dollars!!! So I need to do something there. Waiting for vendor to get U.S. made extended cocking handle and collapsible stock back in stock.Really digging it,not sell off my Noveske and M14's digging it but it certainly is a great little rifle.I may send it to one of the suggested HK smiths for a paddle release and to tweak everything to perfection and a refinish.

Hmm, people are just different in the way they consider things. I have three PTR91 rifles and the one C93, shown above. All have carry handles. I like their function. Just my opinion and we all know about opinions. I do fully agree that the metal lower and its grip is the way to go on these rifles. I like getting as close to the old HK93 look as possible. About those grip screws, I know where you are seeing the $9.00 ones. But for this item there is a cheaper place. Go to:
RTG Parts page for grip screw with washer
$1.50 each is the price but of coursce you will have shipping charges. I just bought 3 from him about a month ago along with some other items.
